Julius Caesar was born in 100 B.C. He joined up with Crassus and Pompey and formed a triumvirate in 60 B.C. Between them they raised an army and in 58 B.C. invaded Gaul. Caesar’s Laws and reforms made him popular, and he became the ruler of Rome shortly after in 45 B.C.
